Hey guys, djoverlay here…=D
This is for my Wife, since she has always loved this car, just can't afford it at the moment. But anyway she asked me to put this car into her game, and it's not like I have a choice…….like what a wise man once said "Happy Wife, Happy Life." The car was downloaded from marianR87's sketchup gallery over at Google 3D warehouse, according to him, the model was from the original sketchup forums way before Google's revamp of the program and it's scene. Looking at the mesh, you could tell it was made in sketchup and not a traditional modeling program that was converted into sketchup format.
I downloaded the skp file around 9:10PM pacific time, at 2:20am or so I finished it. So yeah, give or take about 4 hour total, since I spent about 30 minutes eating and another 30 minutes going to the Lou and looking for music. I Used to never like this car, but married life takes a toll on a man's tastes after a few years let me tell you!

Car Info:
Replaces: VW Golf GTI
Mods: Wheels(naturally), Spoiler, RoofScoops.
Polygon count:
Wheels: 419 polygons each.
Whole Car: 12.221 polygons, originally 8,600 polygons. I had to add extra parts so that it wasn't see through and so the curves in the body weren't funny looking.

Tools used:
Sketchup Pro 7 Trial(7 hours left): to convert to fbx.
Cinema 4D: Fixing the model, adding more polygons where needed, redoing some of it's topology, UV mapping, dummies, etc.
Zmod1.07: Converting to mwps format.
Photoshop 10: Converting targa files to dds., making the logo.

I used an image of the car's headlights to make the logo as you can see, even though it's simple, to me personally, It is good. I'm taking a break from my main projects just to get some fresh air, you know. And the other people I'm collaborating with haven't completed their parts yet, so I can't really continue on with the projects.
I'm currently talking to marianR87 about importing one of his concepts, it'll be just as much work as Elisei's concept, but it should be fun and still really cool.
