Description

Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2005
Road Re-Texture V2.0 + Road Surface Simulator + Lighting V2.0
by TerraSphere_385

For the Re-texture, it's just that I felt my previous road retexture was outdated in today's standards especially with the announcement of FH2 and DriveClub having rain weather effects, so I reupdated it. Plus, I felt ashamed of the quality of the previous one.

I created the road grip file in response to my previous handling mod for the Pagani Zonda Cinque of Gamer Boy. If you have problems with it, just let me know EXCEPT on how your car handles like you want me to make changes to the mod by making it softer, more grippy, more drivable or so on and so forth. If you want to change the settings and ask for my help, sorry but no. I won't spill the beans, and I won't edit this. This is for purists and not for noobs nor simulator beginners. Also part of this would make you respecting the police more sensible than evading them while screaming "POWER!!!!!!!" like Jeremy Clarkson, you'll just make your tires scream while your car spins-off, thus discouraging aggressive maneuvers around the cops, unless you want to get busted quickly. Prevention is better than the cure itself. If you could, you might wanna stay away from the Stadiums and the Golf Course, it's very slippery when you drive an exotic across the fields. This would put your driving skills to the test. Forget how you could easily evade the cops, this is Forza Motorsport on Rockport. Also, the cars are slower and less grippy in the wet, making driving in rainy conditions unpredictable, it might understeer when you enter a corner at a designated "safe" cornering speed then suddenly oversteers into a drift, then spin off the road. In the dirt, it's the same with the grass but with a little more grip, but when it rains, the dirt becomes mud and it becomes a tiny bit grippier, but since the mud is thicker, it will be stickier thus making your car slower than being on the wet pavement.

According to ArturoPlayerOne, he drove the Pagani with my own realistic handling modification, with an X360 Controller and he praised the realism of the handling. He took it for a pursuit, and he couldn't even barely escape the cops, I presume he keeps on spinning off (TWICE on my experience) when the cops execute the PIT maneuver against him. No matter how good you are, escaping the cops would never be a walk in the park again. Even I tried it myself, got to heat level 5 and when the corvettes cornered me, I got busted easily. I keep spinning off the road. Recommended with an external controller or a steering wheel.

Also, the unrealistic handling cars will keep bouncing on some parts of the world in an unrealistic manner, my tip is stay on the road. This is not a bug, this is intended for simulation.

In my final words, ENJOY on your own risk.

Installation:
Lighting Mod
If you have another Lighting Mod installed on your game, please copy the contents of the Specular.txt file and paste it on the attributes.mwps to the specific ranges of that said mod. If you don't have a lighting mod installed or want to replace your previous one, please extract the contents to the NFSMW2005 directory. Before running the game, make sure you have the MW Mod Loader by Arushan.

Road Retexture (Make sure you have a backup)
Open NFS-TexEd, then open the file STREAML2RA.BUN with the program, it's located at the GLOBAL folder of your MW directory. If you don't have it, download it. Then import the files to their respective ID numbers. I separated the textures into folders corresponding to each of their own Texture Archive ID number.

Road Surface Grip Simulator
Extract SURFCREALM to the CARS_REPLACE folder. Make sure you don't skip read, before you do the replacing process, know what this would do to your game. If you don't like it, then delete it.

Requirements:
NFSMW2005 Modloader
NFS-TexEd
WinRar Archiver (Recommended)

Final Remarks:
Finally, thank you for downloading, I wouldn't be more motivated to mod the NFS Series if it weren't for you. Please use this for good use, I don't make mods for evil intents. Respect my work, don't steal it. You are allowed to edit my mod only for personal use. If you want to post this to another website, please ask for my permission and give me the link, and add a link to here. I'll accept your Comments, Suggestions, Opinions, and Advices, but please no personal requests. It took me 2 weeks to finish this and STILL it is not yet truly finished. I hope you cooperate with me, Thank you… :-)

Enjoy it while it lasts! :-D

=======================================================
For the person who requested the FXX Soundpack:
I abandoned the FXX soundpack, it's too damn hard to make it. I'll leave it alone until I find a better way to make them easier and more accurate. Plus I work as a working employee, elected as an officer on our school government, and a goal to achive, I'm a working student now. Imagine how much work I do, plus add my contributions here on NFSCars.
