Description
Porsche 911 GT3 '14
REPLACES : Porsche 911 Turbo
- Converted from NFS Rivals
This is an improvement of the car that was originally converted from NFS Rivals by Alif Qashry.
The result is IMHO astonishing. The car looks now great. I think that it
appears better in Most Wanted than in Rivals!
And I also think that it's probably one of the best cars ever made for Most Wanted.
Here is what I did:
- Added rear brake calipers
- Brake calipers and brake disks are now correctly textured
- Retextured tires, with NFS Rivals texture
- Rims are now correctly textured, and shiny
- Brake calipers are now correctly positioned and spin no more together with the wheel
- Added transparent glass for brakelights
- Retextured grills
- Corrected brake light texture
- Added brake light leds
- Added reverse light leds
- Removed 6280 polygons (these were removed from internal parts, not visible from the outside)
- Added full working spoiler customization
- Added damage scratches support (front, rear, frontleft, frontright, rearleft, rearright)
- Added Porsche 911 GT3 sound from sound patch collection batch 3
- Corrected gear ratios
update 10/09/2014:
- Thanks to a suggestion of the user "Greger" I corrected the distance
between rims and brakes
update 23/09/2014:
- Added full windows damage support (front, rear, frontleft, frontright, rearleft, rearright)
- Corrected some texture mapping (windshield gasket)
FEATURES :
- NFS Undercover Driver Model
- New performance data
- Very good physics (already made by Alif Qashry)
- Working brakelight textures
- Added 1 new vinyls (in unique section)
- Great model scale
PARTS THAT CAN BE CUSTOMIZED:
- Rims
- Rim Paint
- Paint
- Roof Scoop
- Spoiler
- All Performance
- Window Tint
- Vinyls ( 1 vinyls in unique section)
- Custom Gauges
INSTALL :
- Mod Loader 2.0 is needed (included). To install it, copy d3d9.dll, modloader.ini and "Start NFS MW Mod Loader.bat" to NFS Most Wanted directory,
start the game with "Start NFS MW Mod Loader.bat" (or just use parameter: "speed.exe -mod")
- Copy 911Turbo folder to NFSMW\ADDONS\CARS_REPLACE\
- If you want to use the (included) custom sound, you have to go in NFSMW\ADDONS\CARS_REPLACE\911Turbo folder, delete or rename the file
ATTRIBUTES.MWPS and rename the file ATTRIBUTES_new_sound.MWPS to simply ATTRIBUTES.MWPS. Than you have to copy and overwrite the contents of
the folder "Porsche 911 (997-2) GT3 RS 4.0 sound" to folder \NFSMW\SOUND\ENGINE
- To avoid the game crashes when on selection screens and sometimes at the beginning of races, and also
strange teyture distortions, due to the big size of textures used, I've found a solution that works
perfectly, but that involves the use of a (freeware) third party little program.
So, basically, this solution comes at the price of loosing the possibility of running the game through one
single click. Four clicks will be needed every time.
I know that many people (like me) already use this little program to load big texture packs in the game…
but the others will have to decide.
Well, the program is called "uMod" (I use version r44) and you can download it here:
uMod download –––––-> https://code.google.com/p/texmod/downloads/list <–––––-
uMod Wiki –––––-> https://code.google.com/p/texmod/wiki/uMod <–––––-
Well, the thing is very simple: go to the folder NFSMW\ADDONS\CARS_REPLACE\911TURBO\ and rename the file
textures.bin to textures.bin.full or texture.bin.old, or how do you prefer. Then, inside the zip you'll
also find a folder named CRASH_FIX. Inside this folder you'll find another textures.bin file: extract
it to NFSMW\ADDONS\CARS_REPLACE\911TURBO\.
Then start the game through uMod (Main–->Start game through uMod (with command line)–->speed.exe–->-mod)
and load the texture pack Porsche_911_GT3_2014.tpf that you'll also find inside the folder CRASH_FIX.
In uMod press the button Update, save a template and make it the default for your ease.
In this way, basically, the game doesn't crash because the big textures are loaded in an area of the video
memory that's far from the one used by its graphical engine. That's all, enjoy.
KNOWN BUGS :
- Didn't understand why, but the game crashes when going to transmission performance customization
- The car is sometimes not well loaded from the game's engine. In this case it appears transparent. This is a problem due to the high poly count
and textures size. It depends on how many hy-poly cars are already installed. If it happens to you, please be patient, reduce the number of opponents
and reload the race. Or use the proposed solution.
TOOLS :
- Zmodeler v2.0.7 Build 802
